Celebrating the life and legacy of our associates who have recently passed on.

Joan Coleman

Joan Hughes Coleman, who devoted her life to underrepresented crime victims in the Ohio legal system, died Thursday in her Columbus apartment. She was 91.

She died of natural causes and was under hospice care, son Michael said.

Joan was an active member of the Toledo Chapter of Jack and Jill of America prior to relocating to Columbus, OH. A resolution was sent on the chapter's behalf to the services.

Odessa Marie Wair Rowan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She peacefully passed away, on Saturday December 16, 2023, in Toledo, Ohio, while surrounded by loving family and friends. She was an active member of Jack and Jill in years past who was very instrumental in delivering on the organizations mission.

A resolution will be read in her honor on January 3 at 4p and the chapter will be sending a floral arrangement.

Thank you all for everything you have done to make this year a success. It has been my pleasure serving as your President. It is my hope that in 2024 our chapter will continue to grow in numbers and impact on our families and the community. May God bless your families this holiday season. Enjoy a safe and joyous Christmas and a Happyn and prosperous New Year!

~Yours in Jack and Jill,

Candice, Brandon, Tre and Brooklynn!
